MinistrEmail April 2016 – Faith For The Miraculous

For a few months now we have studied the Bible topic of Faith together. We have looked at a number of the different elements of faith, namely;

  1. Who has faith?
  2. Who has the right to use faith?
  3. What is faith?
  4. How do you develop and release faith?

If you have missed any of these MinistrEmail’s please go back and look them up online from our website and study through them. You will be glad that you did.

A part of our studies focused on how we can’t be led by what we see alone but by what the Word of God says. We must begin to develop a habit of turning inward to the voice of the Holy Spirit so that He can lead us into all truth and away from the manipulation of circumstance.

One verse in particular encapsulates this perfectly;

2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV) while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Abram had this problem of looking at what he could see and letting it shape his view of what was true. He even tried to get God to see things his way.

Genesis 15:2-6 (NKJV)  But Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”  3  Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”  4  And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”  5  Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”  6  And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Right here in these verses we can see Abram’s problem and we can also see God’s solution. Abram said “…seeing I go childless…”. That was his problem, he was only looking at what he could see. The Lord’s solution? Verse 5 “Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven…”

We must learn to stop looking at the temporal for our decision-making, and to “look now towards heaven”, to look at the “eternal”.

Now let me ask you this question, do you need to see a miracle today? (the question is loaded!)

Often People make the mistake of wanting to “see” a miracle so that they can believe. This, however, is the reverse order of faith. Mark 16:17a says “(NKJV) And these signs will follow those who believe…” You can’t demand heat from a fireplace before you give it some wood!

Miracles are powerful manifestations of God, but to what end? For what purpose? Miracles are a sign and a wonder that produce a realization that God is indeed real, that the Divine Person is true and this produces a fear of the Lord, or a reverential awe of God. In Turn, when this is responded to correctly it produces repentance, or a change in thought and direction.

Jesus revealed to us in the Gospel of Matthew that even whole cities could repent at manifestations of God’s mighty works.

Matthew 11:21 (AMPC)  Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes [and their hearts would have been changed].

Peter “fell down at Jesus knees…” after the miracle of a great catch of fish in Luke 5:8. And when Jesus came walking on the water to the disciples amidst a storm, it didn’t produce faith, “they were afraid”. Of course Jesus immediate Words to them were, “It is I, do not be afraid…” Now THAT did produce faith! And their act of believing those words produced a miracle for them.

John 6:21 (NKJV) Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.

The entire boat and all the disciples, with Jesus, were supernaturally transported out of the storm and to their destination, not by seeing a miracle but by believing Jesus Word.

Jesus said that it was an “evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign…” (Matthew 12:39) So when we examine all of these scriptures we discover that miracles are not primarily there for the believer, but as a sign and a wonder through the believer.

Now you might be thinking, “I need to see a miracle today!” Why? Do you need to repent? The truth is that you need His Word today. As you receive this Word, believe it and let Jesus get into your boat, you will see the “immediately” happen.

Can I encourage you today, you don’t need to “see” a miracle, you simply need to believe you receive what the Lord says to you, and then speak the Word and “immediately” you will enter the miraculous and truly “see” into the eternal Truth!

Now confess this with me;

I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE GREAT YEAR FOR WHAT EVER I NEED IT TO BE. I BELIEVE GOD AND HIS WORD, AND I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A GREAT BREAKING LOOSE OF EVERYTHING I NEED TO FULFILL MY DESTINY IN GOD. I BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL CAUSE THINGS I HAVE BELIEVED FOR TO SUDDENLY MANIFEST AS I FAITHFULLY STAND IN FAITH. IM GOING BACK TO THE COVENANTS OF GOD. IM GOING BACK TO THE WORSHIP AND PRAISE OF GOD AND THE POWER TO HEAL.

I DECLARE THIS YEAR ‘THE GREAT YEAR’ CONCERNING…………

Blessings and Love
